Update: Missing hiker has been found

Douglas Horton, 48 has gone missing near the area of I-17 and Table Mesa Road. He is an avid hiker and survivalist. At the time his friends dropped him off near the area, last Sunday (2/21) he didn’t have a planned route but said he would be hiking north of where he was dropped off.

Hiker dies of injuries from fall in papago park

A hiker in his 20s was pronounced deceased yesterday, after falling 30-40 feet from the Hole in Rock trail in Papago Park.
