Phoenix Hiking Trails
Gateway Loop Trail – 4.4 loop trail located in the McDowell Mountain in Scottsdale.
Hole in the Rock – super easy, about a 5 minute hike in Papago Park in Tempe.
Telegraph Pass – a 3 mile hike (round trip) up along South Mountain.
Circumference & Ridgeline Trail – 4 mile loop hike in the beautiful Deems Hills Recreation Area.
Piestewa Peak – 2.5 miles of nature’s never ending stair climber. Tough…but worth it. Located in the Phoenix Preserve Mountains.
Shaw Butte – can be done as a loop trail taking you along 4 miles, or you can just go to peak and head back down. Located in North Mountain.
Hike Early or In Evening
As always, know your limits and turn around if you are not feeling well. This Saturday, the temps will be around 108 degrees, so plan your hikes early in the morning, or in the evening, while the temperatures will be lower. Remember as well, take extra water with you.
Can’t wait to see your adventures! #HikePhoenix
