Wizard Rock Missing From Prescott National Forest

The U.S. Forest Service is asking for our help in looking for a missing boulder that was located in the Prescott National Forest.

The missing boulder is known by the locals as Wizard Rock. Weighing about a ton, this white and black swirled quartz marble rock, laid in a peaceful grassy area along South Hwy 89/Whitespar Rd in the Indian Fire area. Today, this unique and favorite boulder among the locals…has vanished from this familiar scene.

Due to the size and weight, the U.S. Forrest Service is predicting it was removed by using heavy equipment.

If seen please contact the U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement at 928-443-8110.
