Proposed Price Increase for Campers in Payson, Arizona. Share Your Feedback Before it’s Too Late

Last week, Coconino National Forest announced that they are proposing a price increase for camping rates along the Mogollon Rim in Payson, Arizona.  

This increased fee has not occurred yet and the public has until October 15, to voice your opinion. Take a look and see what you think:

You can see that in some of these campsites the rate has more than doubled.

The Coconino National Forest reasoning for the price increase is to use that more money is required for continuing maintaining and improving the sites. On the National Forests website they state that 95% of the collected fees will go to operating the park and that it’s been over 10 years since the price increased.
