Good news everybody! The Museum Wildfire in Flagstaff, Arizona is now 35% contained and under control. The once restricted area around Mount Eldon is now open and Flagstaff Mayor Coral Evans says hiking can resume.
According to KTAR News, fire crews worked hard this week thinning out the forest to slow down the spread of the fire. This action, such as cutting down tree branches, resulted in saving over 2 dozen homes and recreation areas.
While small areas of the forest do show signs of damage, nature will heal it quickly.
